Black Lives Matter Donation Tee

FACT: Police brutality is NOT a myth. A study based on data collected from 2013-2018 showed that 1 black man out of every 1000 dies at the hands of law enforcement, a number that is at least 2.5x greater than the risk for white men. The system is broken beyond repair. We don’t need change, we need a new system.
The graphics from this shirt come from two different places. The text from an independent American magazine published from ‘64-‘67 edited by Ralph Ginsburg titled Fact. Fact highlighted controversial topics in America, including an issue from 1965 covering police brutality, which astonishingly looks like it could have been published yesterday. The cop graphic comes from illustrator (and cop sympathizer) Dick Kramer. He believes his illustrations show the strength and resolve of the police force, but all I see when I look at them are images of militarized officers ready to shoot first. This directly shows how the police view themselves vs. how the public whom they are supposed to protect view them. The tees will also feature a blank black woven tag with no writing or graphics sewn into the neck.
